Fellowships are designed to provide opportunities for former Scouts to maintain their connection with Scouting and continue to be actively involved in supporting Scouting in NSW and the community.
Fellowships can be based locally or comprised of members from across Australia. Some people join Fellowship to play a vital role in caring for Scouting’s heritage and supporting regional and state-based Scouting activities by offering their expert skills to specific roles. For others, it is more a casual opportunity to maintain social peer connections with other former and current Leaders and Rovers, and to participate occasionally in events as recognised members of Scouts NSW.
Our Leaders are responsible for helping to devise and deliver programs that support young people in reaching their potential. Not only do they play a vital role in empowering young people to strive for their best as they progress through their Scouting journey, but Leaders themselves develop a variety of transferable skills, meet new people and discover adventure for themselves, all while having loads of fun.
Fellowships are a great way to:
- Continue to serve Scouts
- Stay involved with the Scouting community
- Participate in major Australian and overseas Scouting events
- Connect with old friends and make new ones
- Take part in a variety of activities.
“Being involved in a specialist Fellowship has given me the opportunity to meet like-minded people who share my interests.”
